The 2020 NAB AFL Women’s Draft was conducted last tonight in a virtual format with all AFLW clubs participating in the historic Draft remotely.

57 girls were selected by the 14 AFLW Clubs ahead of the 2021 NAB AFLW Season including three players from New South Wales and the ACT who were selected by the GWS GIANTS.

#42 Libby Graham, Manly Wolves

Nicole Livingstone, Head of Women’s Football, congratulated all drafted players and welcomed them to the elite competition.

“The footballers selected tonight represent the future of the NAB AFL Women’s Competition and we welcome the future stars of the game,” Ms Livingstone said.

“Tonight, they begin their own journey at the highest level and in doing so will inspire girls across the country.”

“Many of the footballers selected tonight have participated in a football pathway that began at the NAB AFL Auskick level through to junior football and via the NAB League or a State-League competition.”

“We are looking forward to watching this crop of talented footballers enter and immediately impact the competition.”

The AFL would like to thank NAB for their ongoing support, and playing such an integral role in the talent pathway all the way from NAB AFL Auskick to Rising Stars to the NAB AFL Women’s competition. NAB have provided $5,000 to the top selection in each state.

NAB Group Executive Personal Banking, Rachel Slade, congratulated all draftees on their selections.

“NAB has proudly partnered with the AFLW since its inaugural season in 2017, and during this time, we’ve enjoyed watching the game grow, creating more opportunities for women such as Ellie and inspiring the next generation of young Australians,” Ms Slade said.

“I want to congratulate all of the 2020 NAB AFLW Draftees, I encourage you to make the most of the opportunities in front of you and wish you the best of luck for the season ahead as we look forward to the return of AFLW in 2021.”
