Female Indigenous Youth Leadership Program open
The first year of the AFL NSW/ACT Female Indigenous Youth Leadership Program is officially open for applicants.
The Program (July 19-21, 2019 in Homebush) offers a player and leadership development camp for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls aged 12-15 years old, who are playing or interested in playing Australian Football.
Sponsored by Transport for NSW, this three day camp is free of cost to young women who are interested in:
- – Learning new skills
- – Health and fitness
- – Opportunity for selection into the AFL Diversity talent pathways
- – Being good role models, on and off the field
- – Hearing from current AFL players and community members about leadership and staying safe on New South Wales Roads
