Swans conquered, injury ravaged GIANTS go down
TASMANIA VS. SYDNEY SWANS ACADEMY
The Sydney Swans Academy has finally been conquered in the 2018 NAB AFL Academy Series.
Having gone undefeated through the 2017 season and starting 2018 in the same fashion, the Swans needed a win over Tasmania on Saturday to keep their perfect record in tact.
The Swans’ dream run would not be however, as the Tasmanian’s used their home ground advantage to topple the Swans by 32 points.
Nick Blakey returned to the Swans’ squad to kick three goals with Jackson Barling and Harry Parker chipping in with two of their own.
Luke Parks was a standout running off half-back for the Swans and Joshua Stern also played his role for the visitors.
The Sydney Swans will return to Blacktown International Sportspark this coming Saturday to play the Gold Coast Academy at 10am.

BRISBANE LIONS ACADEMY VS. GIANTS ACADEMY
It was a tough day at the office for the GIANTS Academy when they faced the Brisbane Lions Academy at Burpengary on Sunday, going down by 92 points.
Having won their only match of the 2018 NAB AFL Academy Series in Round 1, the GIANTS have been unable to claw themselves back into form.
With many of their stars including AFL Academy members, Liam Delahunty and Mathew Walker, as well as Cameron Edwards all out for this clash against the Queenslanders, the GIANTS struggled to keep pace with a stronger list of Lions players. All three of these players are expected to return over Round 5.
Unfortunately for the GIANTS, Matthew McGory was the only player to register a goal for the visitors during Round 4.
The GIANTS now face the tough task of taking on the undefeated Tasmanians in Kingston next Saturday at 10.30am.
