10 GIANT positives for 2014

1. Battle of the Bridge against the Swans at GIANTS Stadium on March 15. Say no more. Just be there.
 
2. GIANT new recruits. GWS has added some much needed experience with premierships stars Heath Shaw, Shane Mumford and Josh Hunt and some young guns in Jed Lamb, Tom Boyd and Josh Kelly.
 
3. Big Pre-season. The GIANTS have put in a hard pre-season campaign including a training camp in Noosa.  In 2014 the team will move into a state of the art training facility at Sydney Olympic Park.
 
4. Third year players. After two years in the AFL the likes of Dylan Shiel, Adam Treloar, Curtly Hampton, Devon Smith and Adam Tomlinson are ready to go to the next level.
 
5. Jeremy Cameron, Jonathon Patton and Tom Boyd. GWS is truly now the Land of the GIANTS.
 
6. Leon Cameron. A great addition to the club who has brought ideas, energy, and a passion for people and the game. 

 
7.  GIANTS Stadium. Voted by the fans as the best stadium in Australia. Starting with Battle of the Bridge, GWS has  eight games at the venue in 2014 including big clashes with  Victorian heavyweights Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond and Geelong.
 
8. NAB Challenge in Canberra. The pre-season kicks off on February 20 under lights at StarTrack Oval Canberra when the GIANTS play the Swans, before a Wagga match-up with St Kilda on March 1.  

9. Great club culture. With a new look player leadership group and emerging young leaders, GWS is developing a great club culture.
 
10.  Kevin Sheedy. He is the father of the GIANTS and was the inaugural Head Coach. After joining the board last month, he’s staying on to help build the GIANTS into one of the biggest clubs in Australia.
