The Paul Kelly Cup is the largest AFL primary school competition in New South Wales and the ACT and is open to students in Years 5 and 6. The Paul Kelly Cup consists of 12 player teams competing in round robin gala days in your local area. Games are played on a smaller field using modified rules.
Local Paul Kelly Cup days are held in Term 1 and early Term 2. Winning teams progress to a regional final, normally completed in Term 2. Regional winners will progress through to the State Final in Term 3.
Local Paul Kelly Cup Gala Days are held across New South Wales and the ACT. Winners from the local Gala Days will progress to regional finals in Northern NSW, Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney, Greater Western Sydney, South Coast/Illawarra, ACT and Southern NSW. The State Final will be held at GIANTS Stadium, in Sydney Olympic Park.
