Swans celebrate Grassroots Appreciation Round

The Sydney Swans are this week celebrating Grassroots Appreciation Round, to acknowledge everyone involved in community football: the many players, coaches, umpires, parents and volunteers who make the running of junior clubs possible.

During the week, the Swans have undertaken a number of initiatives to bring in people from around the Sydney and Hunter Central Coast region and acknowledge their hard work in making Australian Football happen in our communities.

The Sydney Swans players went back to their roots on Monday and wore their junior guernseys to training.

Mark Philpott, President of the Warner’s Bay Bulldogs Junior club will be a special guest speaker at the Chairman’s Club function prior to the game.
