Hear me roar: Young deaf girl making a big noise
WORST days for little Cathleen were always when an odd number arrived for training.
Soccer, netball, Little Athletics … didn’t matter the sport.
Any time there was an odd number, this schoolgirl with the hearing aid was always the odd one out.
“You’d watch them separate for drills and every time my daughter would be left standing there, all on her own,” mum Julie recalls.
Which made her feel what?
“Heartbroken,” mum shrugs.
“My heart broke every time.”
Not that the little girl, deaf since birth, ever complained.
