Bushies looking forward to Draft night
Max Lynch, Ryan Garthwaite, Zach Sproule and Todd Marshall attended the NAB National Draft Combine in September.
As well as playing together throughout the NSW/ACT Rams and Allies they also joined each other each week in the TAC Cup playing with the Murray Bushrangers.
Ryan Garthwaite performed well at the Matthew Lloyd Clean Hands Test, finishing first.
In the Brad Johnson Goal Kicking Test Garthwaite and Zach Sproule finished equal second.
Max Lynch performed well at the standing vertical jump test making the ninth position with a score of 67cm.
Although each player is hopeful they will be included on a AFL club list come Draft Night, back-up plans are already being considered.
“I’ll probably go back to Corowa and have a year playing with my mates.” Garthwaite said.
“If it doesn’t work out I’ll probably head to Uni and play for Bushies as a 19 year old. Or I might even try and go to Melbourne and play for a VFL club.”
