AFL Draft Combine Player Review: Jarrod Brander
As one of the leading tall prospects heading into the 2017 NAB AFL Draft in November, Wentworth’s Jarrod Brander had plenty to show at the 2017 NAB AFL Draft Combine last week.
Standing at 194cm, Brander’s speed and endurance scores were results to note. Only 0.24 milliseconds behind the fastest runner in the Smartspeed 20m Sprint event, Brander’s adjustable skills were evident.
With growing aspirations of making the permanent move into the forward line, Brander will be disappointed with his goalkicking score of 15 out of 30, but will be hoping his work in front goal during the 2017 NAB AFL Under 18s Championships will prove his worth.
Brander did however, redeem himself with the ball, hitting 27 out of 30 targets – the highest of the AFL NSW/ACT players present at the Combine.
The 2017 NAB AFL Draft will take place on 24 November 2017 at Sydney Olympic Park.
