All three Academy Series’ wrap up for 2019
All three Academy Series’ were closed out over the weekend with the NAB AFL Under-16, Under-16 Youth Girls and Under-17 Academy Series’ playing their final matches at Blacktown.
NAB AFL UNDER-16 ACADEMY SERIES
The Sydney Swans and GIANTS played off in Round 3 of the 2019 NAB AFL Under-16 Academy Series with the Swans looking to go undefeated for the year.
It was a close tussle between the two old foes up until half-time, but the Swans put the foot down in the second half, producing the goods to acheive the clean sweep.
On the back of an even team performance, including 13 different goal kickers, the Swans stormed home to claim the Series for the third year in a row.

UNDER-16 YOUTH GIRLS ACADEMY SERIES
The Swans would also take out the Under-16 Youth Girls Academy Series after defeating the GIANTS two weeks in a row.
Despite the Swans claiming a 30-point win, the scoreboard was not wholly reflective of the game, which was a competitive contest with a high level of skill.
The Under-16 AFL NSW/ACT Rams Youth Girls side will be announced tomorrow ahead of their clash with Vic Metro in Melbourne this coming Sunday.

NAB AFL UNDER-17 ACADEMY SERIES
It was a different tale in the NAB AFL Under-17 Academy Series as the GIANTS romped home to win the first and only clash of the Under-17 Series.
Though both sides were missing regular starters to the Allies squad, it was the GIANTS who would capitalise and take home the 39-point win after a consistent display across all four quarters.
