2019 Paul Kelly Cup Champions crowned

The 2019 Paul Kelly Cup has been won with two new schools taking this year’s title.

St Catherine’s Singleton and Albury Public School will head home with the silverware tonight, each crowned the Girls and Boys Champions respectively.

Schools from as north as Coffs Harbour Public School and as far south as Albury Public Schools, travelled to Sydney after a year’s worth of regional competition.

Following a tough day of Aussie Rules footy at GIANTS Stadium, it all came down to two Grand Finals.

Last year’s Champions, Lindsay Park Public School and Knox Grammar both had their chance at defending their titles with each making the Grand Finals once more. Both deciders went down to the wire, but to the victors went the spoils as two new Champions were crowned.

GIANTS players, Erin McKinnon and Brett Deledio were on hand throughout the day, supporting the students and handing out the winners medals.

AFL NSW/ACT wishes to congratulate all schools who participated in the Paul Kelly Cup this year, particularly St Catherine’s Singleton and Albury Public School for their win. We look forward to seeing everyone back for more fun in 2020.
