All Stars trio in Adelaide to take on the Vics

Three AFL NSW/ACT players will take part in this Friday’s NAB AFLW Under-18 exhibition match being played at Adelaide Oval with the bounce at 5.25pm (ACST).

As a part of the ‘All Stars’ team, Holbrook’s Alyce Parker, Canberra’s Alexia Hamilton and Clarence Valley’s Brianna McFarlane will take on Victoria ahead of the Chemist Warehouse E.J. Whitten Legends Game also being played at Adelaide Oval. This will be the same trio that will represent AFL NSW/ACT at the upcoming 2018 NAB AFLW Draft Combine in early October.

GWS GIANTS star, AFL NSW/ACT Youth Girls and Eastern Allies Coach, Alicia Eva will lead the All Stars against fellow AFLW player, Aasta O’Connor, who will coach the Vics.

The teams were formed from the Under-18 AFLW All-Australian squad, which was named at the conclusion of the 2018 NAB AFLW Under-18 Championships played on the Gold Coast in July.

AFL Head of Women’s Football Nicole Livingstone said the match will feature the best young female players in the country.

“Many of these players will join AFLW team lists in October and will become household names during the third AFLW season early next year,” Ms Livingstone said.

“The standard at the Under-18 Championships was at a high standard and I encourage all footy fans to arrive early to see the future AFLW stars.

The final 2018 NAB AFLW Under-18 All-Australian team will be announced during half-time of the Chemist Warehouse E.J. Whitten Legends Game.
